Hello everyone! Today I have a very cheesy post and no way is it cheeky, ha ha ha
Am sure you are all wondering what am I upto now. Well this dish is full of cheese but very delicious and great snack for kids as well as grownups. Want to know what and how I made this dish? I made two versions of it. One is deep fried and other is baked version
It was totally cheese bites.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup maida/APF
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 4 tbsp corn flour
- 4 tbsp rice flour
- little salt
- 1-2 tsp baking soda
- 3-4 tbsp butter
- oil to fry
Method:
In a bowl take maida, add rice flour and corn flour and mix well. Add butter and mix till it resembles bread crumbs. Now add baking soda and grated cheese. Mix well. Slowly add water and make it a bit tight dough which resembles cookie dough.
Heat oil in kadhai and make small balls of the dough. Deep fry the balls till they are golden in colour. Remove and drain on kitchen paper. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup.
The other version I tried was baked one. I used half of the dough for deep fry and rest half I used for baking. Since I had dough, I felt it was just right but when baking it needs to be like biscuit or cookies. My baked cheese bites were good but bit soft in the inside.

Roll out the dough and make desired shapes and arrange in baking tray which is greased and dusted. I used my cake tin here. Preheat the oven to 150c
(oven settings would vary). Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes till the top changes the color. In between if its possible try to change the sides so the uniform cooking is done.
I enjoyed cooking these cheesy bites and the baking part was a trial though I feel the butter or ghee has to be bit more while baking..
Hope you enjoyed this.
